I am currently free of dental pain and infection. Why do I need to keep attending regularly?
Your teeth are constantly under change throughout your life - and the same goes for all of your fillings, crowns and bridges. Unfortunately, unlike most of the rest of your body, you are unable to see and feel potential dental problems developing. That's where we come in - we are here to detect and treat problems when they arise, but also to PREVENT them from occurring in the first place.
Your dentist will set a recommended recall time tailored to your specific individual need. This will provide you with the best set of circumstances to maintain a healthy mouth.
I have full sets of false teeth. Is it still neccessary for me to attend?
Although you may not have teeth, your gums still go through many changes throughout your life. It is important that your gums underneath your dentures are regularly checked by us so that potential problems can be identified and treated.
I have missed a number of appointments. Will I lose my registration?
All patients are assessed on an individual basis. However, please be aware of the following guidance regarding attendance:
FAILURE TO ATTEND TWO APPOINTMENTS WILL RESULT IN YOUR NAME BEING REMOVED FROM OUR NHS LIST. THE SAME APPLIES TO APPOINTMENTS CANCELLED WITHOUT 24 HOURS NOTICE.
IF YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AS A NEW PATIENT AND FAIL TO ATTEND, THEN NO MORE APPOINTMENTS WILL BE OFFERED TO YOU.
Will I see the same dentist every time I visit the practice?
If you are an NHS patient, all checkups/urgent appointments will now be allocated with the FIRST AVAILABLE DENTIST. Therefore, it will no longer be possible for you to see the same dentist.
Practice Plan patients will see their regular dentist (Dr Shore or Dr Azfar).
I am interested in being a private patient.
Please see our 'membership plans' section of the website.
What do I do if I am in pain outside the opening hours of the practice?

Paresh Parmar who came to us in 2014 as a newly qualified dentist is leaving us on Friday 12th April 2019. Paresh is going to be a co-owner of a practice in Leeds and we have two new lovely lady dentists called Nafesa and Laura who will be taking over the care of Paresh Parmar’s patients.
After seven loyal years of service our dentist Paresh Nakeshree is leaving us at the end of August to buy his own practice in Leeds. However, we have a lovely young dentist called Sohail who will be taking care of Paresh’s patients. We wish Paresh all the best in his new venture. Sam has also left us to work in a busy NHS hospital and we have a new dentist called Katie taking over the care of Sam’s patients. All the team are looking forward to working along side Sohail and Katie.
Our Hygienist Mandy would like to apologise in advance if she has to rearrange any appointments. This is due to some unavoidable family health issues.
We were pleased to help Public Health England with a recent study of adult oral health. Which is vital for the planning of health improvement programmes and dental surveys. Thank you to all of the patients who took part in this survey.
