It is important to visit the dentist before any form of whitening is carried out. This ensures that whitening is appropriate and justified for each individual. At this consultation the dentist will discuss the different methods of whitening and which ones are most suitable for the individual, instructions on how to use them and the pros and cons. Before and after pictures can be taken so that the patient can see the results for themselves. We advise patients not to try any form of tooth whitening without consulting your dentist first and to avoid purchasing it from the internet and salons. Tooth whitening should only be carried out by an experienced dentist.
